Guiding JICA Participants around Kamakura

[Date & Time] Sunday, January 19, at 11:00~16:40
[Spots] Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Hasedara Temple and Kotokuin Temple (Great Buddha)
[Visitors] 15 JICA participants, with 7 from Vietnam, 6 from Laos, and 2 from Indonesia
[Attendants] 14 KSGG members
[Language] English

The participants were all prepared for the cold weather and well-protected with warmers such as woolen hats and gloves.  During the tour, they were well organized as a group probably because many of them are from the same country.   At a soba (Japanese buckwheat noodles) restaurant that we dropped by for lunch, having been accustomed to using chopsticks, most of them seemed to enjoy warm dishes for lunch.  One of them wanted to buy a miniature torii as a perfect souvenir from Japan and  another wanted to buy a yukata (cotton kimono) for his girlfriend.  However, I could not meet their requests because of time limit.
