The Students at a Christian University in South California came to Japan one week ago. Their schedule was very tight: taking a sightseeing trip to Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara and going back to the U.S. day after next. In the morning on the day, the professor who was in charge of this project told us that he had divided into four groups. We moved to Hachimangu Shrine, guiding each group. After we took lunch on the benches outside, we headed for Kotokuin Temple by Enoden. After listening to our brief explanation about the Great Buddha and the temple, they took their own course. At the end of the tour we took a group photo. We presented them with paper dolls wearing long-sleeved kimono, which were so popular among the students.
