[Spots] Sankeien Garden, Honmoku
[Visitors] 1 German couple
[Attendants] 3 KSGG members
[Language] German
Under the blue sky after the typhoon, the visitors, who savored the tea in the cream and tranquility of the Japanese teahouse in the inner garden, repeated “Splendid!” over and over again. After enjoying the beauty of the garden at Sankeien, they were apparently moved by the dishes of tuna, cucumber rolls, and some other Japanese food for lunch at a rotating sushi restaurant.
As the lady was impressed with the fresh Japanese vegetables, we took them to a grocery store nearby. There, she bought oriental mushrooms, which she saw for the first time, tuna, chicken and wine, and said, “I can enjoy cooking supper with this stuff to my heart’s content.” The couple praised the Japanese culture and left Yokohama Station.
