The kimono shop was in a building next to Tsurumi Station. The mothers were looking around for items which would be of interest. There were kimonos including furisode (formal long-sleeved kimono) and komon (fine-patterned kimono), obi (sash), obijime (sash band) and small items, each price of which were several thousand yen or more. Some chose a set of a gorgeous kimono and a hair ornament for children and others bought furisode and beautiful matching obi. I helped the mothers choose which obi went well with which kimono, or served as an interpreter at the checkout counter and so on. Time passed quickly. Some mothers were carrying packages in both hands. I hope they spent an enjoyable time shopping.
