On the bus, I explained about Kamakura and today’s sightseeing spots so that they could take an interest in them. When we arrived at Kotokuin Temple, we explained about Daibutsu (Great Buddha). We had enough time to answer some questions. At Hasedera Temple, a lot of visitors were greatly interested in sentaijizo (Thousand guardian deities). We went to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine by bus and, at the third torii gate, we explained about the brief overview of the shrine. First all of us purified our hands at chozuya (water-filled basins), and then we KSGG members answered a lot of questions from the participants on honosakadaru (dedicated sake barrels on display). The most serious question of all was “What is the difference between Shinto and Buddhism?”
