The purpose of the video recording crew was to shoot the quiet rock and bamboo garden, connecting it to wabi-sabi (aesthetic sense of transience and imperfection) and Zen Buddhism. Since I mentioned the name of a Japanese novelist, Kawabata Yasunari and explained that he expressed this quietness of Hokokuji Temple as “yama no oto” (the sound of mountain), they recorded “the sound” intently. After the shooting ended with no trouble, we enjoyed powdered green tea in a bamboo grove a little bit and my activity as accompanying interpreter finished.
