It was Sunday and there were lots of families who celebrated their children’s growth on the day of Shichi-Go-San (Festival for children of three, five and seven years of age) at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The participants took pictures of children with a smile. Watching a wedding ceremony at Maiden, they seemed to be attracted by wata-boshi (a bride’s veil) and tsunokakushi (a bride’s white head covering) which are the part of bridal finery. They enjoyed taking pictures of them. The participants were fascinated with the splendid view of Hasedera Temple and the beautiful wooden statue of Hase Kannon. The participants from India, Myanmar, and Nepal chanted a prayer to the Buddha with their hands put together at Kotokuin Temple.
