It was a sunny and warm day, which was perfect for hiking. We visited yagura (tombs) of Hojo Masako and Minamoto-no Sanetomo, which we had wanted to visit, and then had an early lunch at Genjiyama Park. At Zeniarai Benten Shrine, the visitor rinsed a JPY10,000 bill, and put it into her wallet carefully. We climbed steep steps behind the Sasuke Inari Shrine, and walked along the Daibutsu Hiking Trail. The visitor said that the Great Buddha at Kotokuin Temple seemed to be larger than that at Todaiji Temple in Nara. She mentioned herself as a supporter of President Obama, and then we enjoyed Obamaccha-soft cream (green tea soft ice cream). We enjoyed seeing the panoramic view of the ocean from the terrace on the compound of Hasedera Temple.
