We guided 21 foreign students at the request of Kawasaki City Hall. First, we saw goma (fire ceremony), a solemn and impressive Buddhist ceremony of the Shingon sect conducted at the main hall every day, and then they were divided into two groups and started the tour around the precincts. We visited Kyozo (Scripture House), Naka-shoin (Central Guest Salon), the tea whisk mound, Inari Shrine, Henro-Daishi Son-zo ( Statue of the Reverend Kobo Daishi on a Pilgrimage), Hakkaku Goju-no-to (Octagonal, Five-story Pagoda), and Tsuru-no-ike or Crane Pond at a quick pace in the drizzle because they had a tight schedule in the afternoon, taking part in Kawasaki Halloween at La Citta Della and a trip to enjoy the night view of the factory zone of Kawasaki.
