Unfortunately, we could not see Mt. Fuji on the way from Fujisawa to Kamakura by Enoden (train). Instead, we could see beautiful Enoshima Island. Participants from Latin America yelled with delight, taking a lot of pictures of it. It could be their splendid natural disposition to yell with joy, which is foreign to our nature. At Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, when a participant said, “How wonderful! Is this a temple?” I said, “It’s a shrine.” He was so surprised at it and stared at the Shrine. In the afternoon, at Hasedera Temple, he was fascinated by its beautiful wooden statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, and said, “Was it really made of wood? It is unbelievable.” At the end of the tour, we took a group picture of ours against the background of the Great Buddha. We had the first male participant from Mali in West Africa this time.
