As I asked them by e-mail in advance what they wanted to visit, they said they would like to visit eight temples and one shrine, and would like to have Kobe beef for dinner. Even though they had hoped a lot, eventually, we had to cut our tour a bit short as stated above, because of a heavy rain that soaked us to the skin and of word that it was impossible to have Kobe beef in Kamakura. When we got under cover in a garage on our way to Meigetsuin, Mrs. M living nearby, who had pity on us to see us walking in the rain without umbrella, was kind enough to give us bath towels, changes of clothes, and large umbrellas. The Swiss doctor and his wife were amazed at Mrs. M’s kindness. So I remarked, “This is ‘the very Buddha in the hell’ (which means A Good Samaritan), for our daily conduct is good,” giving a bit unreasonable explanation. The visitors from Swiss gave me a polite telephone call the next day, saying, “We could enjoy KSGG’s ‘Quality Guiding’.”
