While I was explaining about Genpei Pond, I learned for the first time from the visitors that Italians also have an unlucky number as Japanese have, though it is 17, not 13. I explained the historical background of Maiden and offered prayers at the main shrine. Then they bought two pairs of chopsticks on Komachi Dori Street and had their chopsticks engraved with their names, which made them so happy. We had lunch at a soba (buckwheat noodles) restaurant. While we were waiting for our lunch served, I explained about Japanese New Year. After lunch, I took them to Hasedera Temple and then we went to Kotokuin Temple. The lady seemed to be so interested in the Great Buddha.
