Most of the cherry blossoms along Dankazura fell because of the previous day’s rain, but the rest still in bloom were beautiful. Everyone took many photos of them. Hachimangu Shrine was very crowded because yabusame or horseback archery was held in the afternoon. Since they had bought lunch boxes, we headed for Yuigahama Beach from Hase Station and had lunch on the beach. At Hasedera Temple, a Malaysian woman wearing a hijab waited outside, because she is a devout Muslim. We visited Kotokuin Temple and took a group photo of us all. This time, the number of JICA participants was small. I felt they enjoyed our hospitality and were satisfied with the tour of the day.
