Knowing that they were Chinese, the KSGG member introduced herself in Chinese, but her pronunciation was corrected all at once. This, however, helped her open up. As they said, “I want to eat ramen right away,” they hurried to Shin Yokohama Ramen Museum. They were happy with ramen in Japanese-style soup. After that, they went to Takashimaya Department Store, where they enjoyed shopping for an hour and a half. She thought women in all countries like eating and shopping. Then they went to Chinatown and, as it was cold outside, they went in a coffee shop and began to put on the table the foodstuffs they bought at Takashimaya one after another. They enjoyed chatting and eating croquettes, pork cutlets, and rice balls.
They said they gather at their oldest brother’s house every weekend to have a good time as he was a good cook. The KSGG attendant who joined such a happy family said later, “I was a bit puzzled about an unusual tour, but I could have a very good time.”

They had a casual stroll around Kamakura as it was their family trip. They enjoyed
viewing red and white plum blossoms and visited the Japanese archery gym at Engakuji Temple. As they are Buddhists, they seemed to attain their peace of mind by praying to Buddha. At Tsurugaoka-Hachimangu Shrine, they were so interested to
see a Shinto-style wedding ceremony that they froze there. Seeing the couple
exchanging their rings, one of the women shouted, “ I want to get married!” to surprise our attendant.

They started the tour by saying “Hello!” in Chinese. Their oldest brother joined them dragging his feet on that day; he could not take part in the tour the day before because of an ache in his knee. In Sankeien Garden, they had Japanese tea served at Hatsuneya Teahouse in its outer garden to get relaxed, and enjoyed the annual plum-blossom festival with “Haru no Umi (the Sea in Spring)” played by the Japanese harp at Old Toumyoji Temple. After shopping at Factory Outlet, we had dinner at an izakaya, or a Japanese-style pub, near Yokohama Station. As it happened to be the birthday of the guide, they celebrated it for him. He said later, “I was lucky to have my happy birthday celebrated by the guests.”
