They dropped in Japan on the way back
to their hometown, Hong Kong. As I told Vancouver,
which they live in now and is a sister city of Yokohama, they said, “Yokohama
in Kanagawa resembles Vancouver. Both of
them have a mild climate and are easy to live in for families and safe. They also got interested in the living environment in Yokohama, and they checked the prices of the dishes in Chinatown or
vegetables in a supermarket. They seemed
to enjoy talking with salesclerks in Chinatown in Mandarin. This time we took the Minatomirai Line as our
transportation, so I explained about the meaning of “Minatomirai,” the theme
(the design concept) that each station has, the posters of the baseball teams, and
so on. They were impressed to find how
convenient and punctual trains in Japan are. and seemed happy to get the postcard
attached to their one-day train thickets.
