As the visitor saw the bamboo garden for the
first time, she took photos of the garden with enthusiasm. For lunch, she enjoyed having Shirasu Don (a bowl
of rice with raw baby sardines on top), saying it was delicious. At Hasedera Temple, a special Buddhist
memorial service was being held in front of Hase Kannon. I thought it must have been a very unusual
experience for her to hear a lot of monks chanting out loudly together. Lastly, we headed to the Great Buddha, a
national treasure. When I explained
about Obamacha ice cream, she wanted
to try one, and we enjoyed them. After that, we took a memorial photo from the
same angle as the photos we always saw in magazines.
