All the members gathered at Shinmatsuda Station on the Odakyu Line and walked to Nakazawa Brewery. The head of the brewery himself explained the making process of sake to us. As the brewery established in the Edo period, its gate, outside wall, and building gave us a gravity of its long history. They showed the depth of unique taste. After that we had a boxed lunch we brought with us at a local community hall, chatting leisurely, through which foreign guests and we got to know each other better. About 30 minutes’ walk brought us to Matsudayama Herb Garden filled with flowers of lavender, sage, and so on. We enjoyed wonderful views of Hakone mountain range, Mt. Fuji, and Sagami Bay.
