The visitors said that they enjoy traveling overseas once a year.  After he retired, the husband started to work as a volunteer gardener.  So he was interested in pruning techniques used in Japanese garden and eagerly took pictures of bamboos, other trees, and plants in Sankeien Garden.  They had wanted to taste the difference between the Chinese food at Chinatown in Japan and that in their hometown, San Francisco.  In Yamate, they were interested in the blocks set in the sidewalks for the visually impaired.  By the way, they seemed to be pleased that I had broken a 1,000-yen bill into small changes for them to ride on a bus in the morning.
