As the typhoon no.17 was approaching, we ended our tour about one hour earlier than usual. This time, I guided Indian participants. Luckily, at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, we could see a traditional Japanese wedding ceremony from the beginning when a bride and a bridegroom entered Maiden.
At Hasedera Temple, the participants attentively listened to the explanation about the Buddhist statues and they prayed Amitabha Statue who drives away evil spirits. Then, at Kotokuin Temple, they enjoyed taking a lot of photos. They had their pictures taken, posturing just like they had the Great Buddha on their hand. Seeing it, I thought this is universal.
