At Kohoku International Exchange Lounge, Andean people played ocarina, Japanese and Korean women held a tea-ceremony social, and Chilean, Thai, and Sri Lankans held their language classes for beginners. The hall was really full of excitement through these international exchanges, and I was completely overwhelmed by their auras.
Most of the people who gathered here today left their countries to live in Japan. Seeing them enjoying themselves like that, I’d like to express my respect and gratitude to the staff and volunteers who have long canalized their energies into this event at the grass-roots level for those foreigners to enjoy their stay in Japan.
