At the specific request from the visitors, KSGG made a reservation to visit Nissan Motor’s Heritage Museum and I accompanied the two Canadians. Both of them were truly GTR-obsessed and the tour was as if it were for the pursuit of the soul of Nissan Skyline GTR. In Canada the father works for the Victoria City government as a city manager and owns two of Nissan’s most powerful Skyline GTR machines: One is the model R32 made in 1990 and the other is the 2013-made current model. Surprisingly enough, both GTRs have been tuned-up and the current model’s estimated power is 600 HP. They are so fanatic about the GTR that they visited its main factory, Nissan Tochigi on February 23 and Heritage Museum on that day, and planned to attend a meeting for GTR owners to be held at Fuji Speedway the next week. Having shown almost no interest in the collection of approx. 300 of Nissan’s historic cars, they devoted themselves to taking hundreds of photos of various types of GTRs including racing cars. Why did they both take a fancy to GTR this much? They answered the question by saying that they first found it interesting when they played videogames with racing cars. Although we felt a little cold during the tour as the museum had been renovated from a factory and they lightly dressed as you see in the photo, they were both deeply satisfied with the variety of GTR models through their scrutinizing of every detail of the exhibits. They truly enjoyed the tour spending much longer time than originally planned.
