All of the participants gathered in a classroom at Saint Maur International School and attended the Japanese class, where they practiced simple Japanese required at a tempura restaurant in addition to the lecture given on the history of tempura and its ingredients.  Right after the class, we all moved with an empty stomach to a wonderful restaurant that got one star from the Michelin Guide. It was a very good restaurant with a good name for delicious tempura, a clean and tidy atmosphere and good service.  Explaining how to eat tempura (with salt and tentsuyu or thin dipping sauce) and its ingredients, we together with all the visitors enjoyed the meal to our satisfaction.  In order to respond to the visitors’ request to take some photos of making tempura, we helped the visitors get approval of taking photos in the kitchen.  We were very much impressed not only with the quality of tempura but also with the kind and good service from the staff in the restaurant.  While we ordered a simplified set meal of tempura this time, most of the visitors seemed to feel that they would like to come back again for a full course tempura dinner next time.  We were very happy that we had been able to introduce them one of the best restaurants.
