We arrived at Kenchoji Temple on time. Before starting zazen, Mr. Fujio, a chief priest explained how to practice it in English, which was very easy to understand, released our tension, and made us feel familiar with zazen.  We practiced zazen three times.  As they practiced zazen repeatedly, their postures became much better and they looked refreshed. I think they must have got some new ideas about zazen through experiencing it. After zazen sessions, we were served powered green tea in another Japanese traditional room and enjoyed drinking it, feeling relaxed. The priest answered many questions of ours amiably, so that we could understand zen and zazen much more. Getting out of Hojo, where the zazen sessions were held, we looked at other structures in the precincts such as Butsuden, Hatto, Chinese Juniper trees, Bonsho( Temple Bell, a national treasure), Sanmon, and Somon. Then we left for Kitakamakura Station.
