Though many
of the participants visited Japan several times, some of them visited Kamakura
for the first time. Since almost all of
them had experienced Japanese culture in Kyoto, Nara, and Tokyo, they made
questions about Japanese culture with deep insights during our guiding. During this tour, we were especially impressed
at their request to walk in the nature through Asahina Kiritoshi. Since they were only sitting whole day in a meeting
room, they wanted to walk. This kind of
request was the first experience for KSGG.
Asahina Kiritoshi, especially, remains as it used to be, among all the
cuts. It seems easy for people to
understand the geographical features there. I explained how the rugged mountain was
cleared and how people promoted the distribution of goods in the ancient
times. We were pleased at their comments
that they were happy to spend in the nature.
