For
the families of the attendants of the conference, three optional tours were
requested by the sponsor of the conference.
I was in charge of guiding one group of them. The visitors met one another for the first
time on that day, and 4 members out of 5 were children, which made me feel
apprehensive about. During the tour on
Enoshima Island, however, we could go sightseeing in all the places which we
had planned to visit. In the severe heat
the participants took a drink properly. We
ended the tour without any trouble. This
tour also left us several points to think over:
The sightseeing was done soon after they came to Japan; we were
requested to go to the places they liked; younger children had to take care of
themselves, taking lunch, drinking properly, preventing themselves from
sunstroke. Anyway I hope they enjoyed
this tour in Japan.
