We went to Zuisenji Temple
first. The visitors seemed to be
impressed with the quiet
atmosphere
in the temple with few people and the birds singing. We found a tatami shop on the way to Sugimotodera Temple. When they stopped and looked into it, the owner
of the shop welcomed us and showed us how to make tatami mats. They were so happy to receive a sample of tatami mat with beautiful edgings. We all found that we enjoyed not only
sightseeing but also talking with local people while walking around ancient
Kamakura.
