We could occasionally see autumnal leaves, the spacious sea and Enoshima Island in the distance from the window of the bus. Many visitors full of desire to learn listened earnestly to the history of Kamakura and the explanations of Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. Additionally, they took a strong interest in Japanese cuisine, longevity of Japanese, and the story of President Obama’s favorite Kotokuin powdered green tea ice cream. Finishing the tour of Hasedera Temple a little bit earlier, we wrapped up the tour of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine before getting dark. While strolling around Komachi Dori Street, items such as powdered green tea ice cream, Japanese towels and Japanese sweets were found popular among the visitors.
