Two school buses arrived at Wakamiya-oji Street a little after 9:00 a.m. As the party walked into the Genjiyama Hiking Trail through a residential area, some of the students got excited and effervesced. The teacher told them to clear the way for passersby and behave themselves as decent Americans. We visited Zeniarai Benten Shrine and Genjiyama Park, where we took a rest. Then we walked to Kotokuin Temple along the hiking trail. The hill was covered with fresh green leaves and the birds were singing. We enjoyed the nature to the full. After seeing the Great Buddha, we had lunch in the precincts in a rush and then strolled along Yuigahama Beach.
