It was fine and warm that day. It was the opening day of the Kamakura Festival and there were surely lots of people watching the parade as was expected. In the morning, I explained about the Great Buddha at Kotokuin Temple to the participants, and in the afternoon, we visited Hasedera Temple. They were fascinated by Hase Kannon, one of the biggest wooden statues in Japan, and took pictures of it. “The dancing of Shizuka” we watched in Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine was very lithely and beautiful, which made the participants happy.
