Report on Meeting at Haneda Airport by the Request from NPO, SKY-LETS

[Date & Time] Tuesday, January 10, at 11:30~15:30
[Activity] Meeting and welcoming foreign students who attend Short Stay Winter Program 2012 in Tokyo University of Foreign Studies to study Japanese at Haneda Airport
[Attendants] 2 KSGG members

We met and welcomed three students including one Australian female student, one male student from China and one from Indonesia.

At the arrival exit gate, we waited for the students, showing cards with their names. As the students came toward us, looking for our LOGO, we could meet without any problem.  We showed them the restroom and a foreign exchange office.  Then we helped them buy the tickets for an airport bus to go to Shinjuku at the ticket counter, according to the organizer's instruction.  After that we guided them to the bus stop on the first floor and explained to them how to check and get their luggage.  We completed our task by recording the bus numbers, calling the person in charge of the organizer, confirming the meeting at Shinjuku, and seeing off.

I was impressed with the three students with a clear sense of purpose and good manners.  I hoped all of them, who are fond of Japan, would enjoy their stay in Japan as well as achieve their purpose to improve their Japanese ability despite their only one-month short stay in Japan.
