The visitors were 10 Germans, who came to Japan to take part in “The 2nd World Conference of Children’s Playtowns” held in Yokohama. KSGG was asked by the municipal authorities to attend to them, because our activities had been appreciated by the Mayor of Yokohama.
After guiding them around Yokohama, we went straight to Engakuji Temple. As it was a weekday, only a few visitors were there and every structure had a quiet atmosphere. The girl students and our female member, singing German songs together, looked really happy during their trip. One of the teachers, whose hobby was drawing oil paintings, made a sketch of the gateway to Engakuji Temple and finished it off into a wonderful piece of work within just only one hour. The cheerful and joyful students and the friendly teachers gave me such a pleasant and memorable day. I would like to appreciate the visitors’ big smiles.
