The visitors were the passengers of a luxury cruise ship, Celebrity Millennium. After meeting them at the Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal, we were bound for Sankeien Garden by bus. Under fuji (Japanese wisteria) in full broom we sat down on a bench. Starting from the overall explanation of Sankeien and looking at hanashobu (Japanese iris) and suiren (water lily), we went to Rinshunkaku. On this day we were allowed to enter a room where I could introduce a sliding door painted by Kano school painters, wall, and ranma (fanlight).
We were able to see a garden and teisha (garden bridge) from the room.
In the garden, the photos of bridal clothes for wedding ceremonies were taken. Their comment was “This place is very peaceful.” Then we walked around Choushukaku, Shunsoro, gasshoshozukuri (palm-joining style of Old Yanohara House.
After we took lunch at Eiichibankan in the Kenmin Hall, we visited Markis, Landmark tower, Nipponmaru, and Red Brick Warehouse, where we toasted with beer. I said “Good bye” near the Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal.
