A young Turkish man came to Japan for a job training 23 days before and would leave Japan 6 days later. He enjoyed traveling in Japan on his days off. I wondered if he could meet me because he was too busy to reply to all the mails from me, but I found he was a nice boy when I met him.
As he had already been to Matsuyama, Kyoto, and Kitakamakura, he got used to things Japanese. He didn’t show his interest in what he saw in Kamakura. So, I explained about the history of Kamakura in detail and he showed his interest in it and then asked many questions. He was so impressed to see the Pacific Ocean from the observatory of Hasedera Temple and said that he wanted to go and see the Pacific Ocean at close range. They have only inland seas such as the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea around Turkey. We took the Enoden train to the beach and he really enjoyed viewing the sea, shouted with joy when he saw big waves and people surfing and went into the sea without minding his shoes getting wet. He was grateful to me for taking him to the nice beach. We said good bye there since he wanted to watch the sea again from a train window alone.
