It was a fine, not humid and comfortable day for the first time in many days. The participants have been learning Japanese at YKC since they came to Japan on August 3rd. At Gen-Pei Pond we could see lotus flowers though they were after their peak.
At Hasedera Temple, some of the Thai participants piously joined their hands in prayer in an Amitabha hall. On its ocean-view terrace the participants seemed to have enjoyed a wonderful view and a refreshing breeze. Immediately after we took group pictures of us all in front of the Great Buddha, Chinese participants began to sing songs in Chinese in the open square. We gave paper dolls made by KSGG members as a souvenir to all and received thank-you speeches from the participants. Some of them headed for Yuigahama Beach after saying good-bye reluctantly at Hase Station.
