[Place] Toshoji Temple, Shonandai-Takakura, Fujisawa City

A KSGG member, who helped the parents in the Spanish Class at Shonandai Primary School the other day, was invited to the year-end party by the priest of Toshoji Temple in its neighborhood with foreign residents. Some other KSGG members also joined it. Everybody, who attended the party with a small amount of fee and a dish of food, had a very pleasant time chatting and buzzing. About 10 foreign families from Peru, Brazil, the Philippines, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo were at the party, which made it an international party.
The participants enjoyed the food and the dishes offered by local shops, listened to an enthusiastic explanation of Peruvian dishes, and amused themselves with entertainments such as Arabic belly dancing by Japanese women and Okinawan folk songs on the Jabisen or a three-stringed musical instrument made of snake-skin. It was an exciting gathering with a wide variety of entertainments. By the way, at the temple, there will be a concert of a Puerto Rican band on coming May 17th. As it is their first tour of Japan, Latin music fans should not miss it.
