My KSGG partner and I guided four Spanish. When she and her husband had planned to take a trip to Barcelona, KSGG received the request of guiding from Mrs. N. They became friends through e-mail exchanges and met each other during her trip. When the visitors and we met at the East exit of Kamakura Station, Mrs. N and my KSGG partner hugged each other as if they were sisters.
We visited Hasedera Temple. We explained that the temple was famous as “flower temple” because different types of flowers bloom throughout the year. We also explained that the largest wooden statue of Kannon in Japan was there. The visitors changed their camera to a selfie and they told us that they called “Yuiin” in Barcelona when they released a shutter. We used to say “pata-ta” for Spanish visitors when they clicked a shutter. After they introduced us the word “Yuiin,” we consciously said “Yuiin” whenever we released a shutter, which appealed to the visitors. Therefore, in taking photos, we said“Yuiin” in a loud voice till the end of the tour. We had a good time with this cheerful and kind family.
